couldn't 是 could 的否定式, 有時可以跟can't & cannot 互通 要解釋couldn't就要先知道could的意思 could可以用在表現"可能性"或者"過去的能力"也可以用在"建議"跟"請求" 基本上我用could都是用在表現can的過去式或者有禮貌的說法 例如: Sorry I couldn't make it last Monday. 抱歉我上禮拜去不了 或著有禮貌的說法: I'm sorry that I couldn't reach him. 對於聯絡不到他我感到抱歉 然後,你的句子I still couldn't go並沒有錯 "我還是不能去" 給你幾個couldn't的用法: 可能性: Mary couldn't be the one who stole the money. Even if I had more time, I couldn't travel around the world. 過去能力: I couldn't speak English. I couldn't run more than 30 minutes when I was 20 years old. 禮貌性&請求: Couldn't he come with us?
